• Religious objects and manuscripts created before the 19th century, including scrolls, icons, and cult items.
• Antiques, including antique jewelry, precious metal and stone items, without official permission.
• Rare animals and plants listed in the Red Book of Afghanistan, as well as souvenirs made from their parts (skins, horns, bones, and feathers).
• Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and dangerous substances that may pose a threat to security.
• Narcotics, psychotropic, and potent drugs without proper documentation.

You can take it out, but only with a permit

• Antiques, antique items, and art objects can only be imported with an official permit and expert opinion.
• National musical instruments, folk art souvenirs, and craft items can only be imported if they are modern or do not belong to protected objects.
• Jewelry and precious metal and stone items can only be imported if they are modern, while antique items require a permit.
