- Archaeological finds, ancient artifacts, architectural elements, and anything related to China's historical and cultural heritage — be extremely cautious about exporting these items without special permission.
- Animals and plants, rare/protected species, as well as products made from them: skins, horns, bones, shells, stuffed animals, seeds, seedlings — all of these are prohibited as attempts to export protected nature.
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, and any dangerous items are prohibited from export.
- Narcotics, potent substances, and psychotropic substances are also strictly prohibited.
- Media, printed materials, films, discs, audio/video recordings, and electronic media containing materials deemed politically, culturally, or morally undesirable (or state secrets) are prohibited from export.
- National currency (yuan, RMB) or large amounts of cash must be declared if the limit is exceeded.
What can be exported only if the conditions are met with document
- Modern souvenirs, folk crafts, modern folk art products — permitted, provided they are not protected items.
- Jewelry, decorations, metal products — provided they are not antiques; if the item is considered an antique and has value as such, permission is required.
- Personal belongings, clothing, and ordinary household goods — if they are not prohibited, they can usually be exported without any problems.
- Personal medications — sometimes allowed for export, but it is better to have a receipt, prescription, or documentation.
