Aktau International Airport
Aktau International Airport is an important transportation hub that connects the city of Aktau with the rest of the world. Located 20 kilometers northeast of the city, the airport is a key element of the region's infrastructure and plays a significant role in the development of the economy and tourism.
In 2013, the airport served an impressive 776,000 passengers, several times the city's population. The airport's throughput capacity was 450 passengers per hour, and the total terminal area exceeds 13,400 square meters, including VIP and CIP lounges.

An important event in the airport's history was the landing of the largest cargo airplane in the world, An-225 Mriya, in October 2011.
