Transfer to the National park of Altyn Emel

In the morning we leave Almaty and drive to Altyn Emel National Park, known for its reserve of rare animals and birds such as Prejevalsky horse, argali, kulan, saiga antelope. The park occupies an area of 520 ha whose relief is very varied: mountainous, sandy, gravelly, desert. We pass by the Kapchagay reservoir and continue towards the park. We stop at a local guest house where we have lunch. Then we go by car to enjoy the magnificent natural landscapes of the Aktau mountains (80 km), which are not without reason called "lunar" because of their unusual color. Aktau is a limestone mountain over 400 million years old, mostly white, but there are also blue and pink, red and green slopes that give the Aktau mountains unique beauty. There is the possibility of climbing on the top. Then we visit the Katutau mountains (25km), which were formed by frozen lava from two large volcanoes that were once active in these regions. The highest point of Katutau rises to 1,720 m. Walk around. Next is the passage through the oldest tree in the park, a 700-year-old willow tree. Return to the village. Dinner and overnight in the guest house.
