After leaving Kochkor, the road goes to the Kyzart pass (2664 m. alt.) which open a wide view on pasture and the Jumgal valley. We stop at the first village and we meet our groom-team. They will guide us to the Song Kul lake, a 20 km ride accross the Uzbek pass (3450 m. alt.). After an hour ride, we stop for lunch at Djanaryk village. In the afternoon, we ride up to the Uzbek pass. The Song Kul lake, the majestic jowel of Kyrgyzstan, lies at our feet. A hour more, and we arrive at the yurt camp of a shepherd's family of Djanaryk. Traditional meal and overnight in yurt.
