Arriving at the shores of Tolboo Lake, nestled 45 kilometers south of Ulgii, we discover a vast expanse of water stretching from the southeast to the northwest, formed by a depression of tectonic origin and fed by glacial springs. With an area of 185 square kilometers, this majestic lake, surrounded by the Altai Mountains, reaches an altitude of 2,080 meters. The legendary Soum Tolbo stands at its southern end.
