Jailoo
Uch Choku
Jalal-Abad Region • Kyrgyzstan • 2050 m
Uch Choku is a small summer jailoo in the village of Dashman, nestled between Arslanbob and the Kara-Unkur Valley, at the edge of the majestic original walnut forests. This pasture offers a pleasant stop during a two-day hike, on foot or horseback, connecting the two valleys via a ridge peaking at 2,876 meters. Behind this ridge stands Bobash Ata, the highest point in the region with an altitude of 4,427 meters.
From Uch Choku, the view opens onto a breathtaking panorama: on one side, the deep walnut forests that have made Arslanbob famous, and on the other, the red, arid canyons that mark the east of the Kara-Unkur Valley. This spectacular contrast between greenery and blazing rock makes Uch Choku a prime location to appreciate the diversity of the landscapes of southern Kyrgyzstan.
